Her Web Solutions is the trading name of HERWEBSOLUTIONS LIMITED, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 15968211). We are the data controller for the personal information described in this policy.

If you email or phone us, we keep the details you give us, such as your name, contact details, organisation and anything you tell us about your project.

We also collect anonymous statistics about how people use the website, such as which pages are viewed, which website visitors came from, the type of browser and device, and the country. This does not use cookies and does not allow us to identify you.

Like all websites, our hosting provider records technical information about requests to the site, including IP addresses, to keep the site secure and working properly. These logs are kept for a short time only.

• To reply to your enquiry. Our lawful basis is legitimate interests: we need your details to respond to you.
• To prepare a quote or proposal, or to start working with you, if you ask us to. Our lawful basis is taking steps you have asked for before entering into a contract.
• To understand how the website is used and to improve it. Our lawful basis is legitimate interests.

We will not add you to a mailing list or send you marketing unless you ask us to. We never sell personal information.

We use a small number of companies to run the website and our business. They process personal information on our behalf and only on our instructions:

• Vercel Inc., which hosts the website and provides the anonymous statistics
• Microsoft 365, which stores our email

Some of these companies are based in the United States. Where personal information is transferred outside the UK, it is protected by UK adequacy regulations (including the UK-US data bridge) or by the ICO's International Data Transfer Addendum.

We only share your information with anyone else if the law requires us to.

• Enquiries that do not lead to work: up to two years after we were last in touch.
• If you become a client: six years after our contract ends, to meet our tax and legal obligations.
• Website statistics: in aggregated, anonymous form only.

After that, we delete the information securely.

This website does not use cookies. If you choose light or dark mode, your browser remembers that choice on your own device. That information is never sent to us.

Under data protection law, you have the right to:

• get a copy of the personal information we hold about you
• ask us to correct information that is wrong or incomplete
• ask us to delete your information
• ask us to limit how we use your information
• object to us using your information on the basis of legitimate interests
• ask us to transfer your information to another organisation
